Fulton shared an unbroken 281 with Rob Key at Canterbury |
Kent stalwart David Fulton has hinted to BBC Radio that this may be his last season with the county. Ther 34-year-old opener, who resigned as captain last season, has scored over 10,000 runs since his debut in 1992.
Last week he scored a century in the Canterbury Festival against Hampshire but told Radio Kent: "This could well be my last cricket week.
"It might well be the case, no further comment on that, but if it is my last it's a good one to go out on."
The 134 in the drawn match against Shane Warne's Hampshire was his first Championship century of the season, although he has passed fifty five times.
"It was nice to score a hundred at cricket week; I haven't done that for a few years now," he said.
"I was keen, if it is to be my last, to go out on a high because it's a special occasion."
Fulton was on the verge of an England call-up after a hugely productive 2001, when he was the first to 1,000 first-class runs.
He also has the distinction of being the last man to catch West Indies great Viv Richards in a first-class match.
