Neil Dexter and Joe Denley plundered centuries as Kent lit up a gloomy day at Fenner's by making 313-2 from the 66 overs possible against Cambridge UCCE.

The visitors had few problems after being asked to bat in seamer-friendly conditions thanks to their openers.

Dexter (116) and Denley (115) put on 252 before falling in quick succession.

Wicket-keeper Niall O'Brien made 26 and Darren Stevens weighed in with 33 to continue the good work before rain came to provide respite for the students.
