Ireland will play England in a one-day international fixture at Stormont on Thursday, 27 August 2009.

The teams first faced each other in a one-day game at Stormont in June 2006 and met again during the Super Eight phase of the 2007 World Cup in Guyana.

"Obviously it's great to be given the opportunity to test ourselves against some of the best players in the world," said Irish captain William Porterfield.

"It's a fixture all the lads are really looking forward to."

Ireland won the Intercontinental Cup for the third successive time when they defeated Namibia by a convincing nine-wicket margin in Port Elizabeth in November.

Meanwhile Ireland's fixture list for next year's Friends Provident Trophy has also been finalised.
