Gary Wilson contrbuted55 to Ireland's winning total in Dublin |
Gary Wilson has become the latest Irish cricketer to sign a deal to play in the English county game. The 20-year-old has agreed a one-year deal with Surrey after a successful trial with the outfit.
The Civil Service North wicketkeeper will start next season in the second team with Jon Batty the man in possession in the first team.
Wilson has played seven times for Ireland although he missed out on a place in the country's World Cup squad.
He is one of the Ireland's five reserves for the championship in the West Indies.
Wilson, who spent the last two years on the MCC's staff, leaves on Friday for three months of club cricket in South Africa.
