Hampshire chairman Rod Bransgrove has spoken for the first time about the departure of team manager Paul Terry. Bransgrove has admitted handing Terry the role as manager may have played a part in the former opener's decision. "It's a bit unfortunate really, everyone knows that Paul is a very close friend of mine," he told BBC Radio Solent. "I think some of the things I asked him to do as a manager rather than a coach conspired to make him unhappy." He added: "The burden of not winning games, being away from home for the sixth consecutive summer also made him feel it was time to make a move."
