Hampshire wicketkeeper Nic Pothas has pledged his full support to his County captain Dimi Mascarenhas, after missing out on the captaincy himself. Pothas played for the Delhi Giants in the rebel Indian Cricket League and was overlooked for the Hampshire leadership in favour of Dimi Mascarenhas. But Pothas told BBC Radio Solent: "Whether it was due to the ICL I'm not sure, but the decision was made. "I'm 1000% behind Dimi. We are the best of mates." Pothas added: "Ultimately the captain tosses the coin and makes some decisions, but I will certainly be offering Dimi a few ideas as the season progresses." Mascarenhas himself will be heading off to the Indian Premier League for a fortnight next month, to play alongside Shane Warne for the Rajasthan Royals.
