Hampshire manager Paul Terry will take charge of the England team for one match during this winter's Ashes tour. Terry, who played two Tests against the West Indies in 1984, is orchestrating England's 14-man academy in Perth.
They are likely to form the bulk of the team for a tour match against a Western Australia XI, which takes place between the second and third Ashes Tests.
"I don't think the Test players will be playing, but it will be a nice honour," Terry told BBC Radio Solent.
