Noffke has played county cricket for Middlesex and Durham |
Australian pace bowler Ashley Noffke has joined Gloucestershire as an
early-season overseas replacement, in the likely absence of Umar Gul. Pakistan seamer Gul is expected to be involved in the World Cup in the
Caribbean, which concludes at the end of April.
Queenslander Noffke has previously played for Middlesex and was contracted to Durham last summer.
"I am very excited at gaining his services," coach Mark Alleyne said.
"He is a top performer, and the timing couldn't have been better as Ashley
looks to re-launch his bid for a place in the Australian side. I look forward to
working closely with him."
