Glamorgan's first home friendly of the season, a two-day match with Gloucestershire, ended in a draw after heavy rain at the Swalec Stadium.

Glamorgan declared their innings at 271-7, Jim Allenby top-scoring with 73, Gareth Rees making 60 and Mike Powell chipping in with 55.

David Harrison, Adam Shantry and Robert Croft then took a wicket apiece as the visitors advanced to 123-3.

But wintry conditions in Cardiff ended the contest shortly before tea.
