Jones continues to be hampered by knee problems |
Simon Jones has been named in Glamorgan's 13-man squad for Friday's Twenty20 Cup opener against Gloucestershire at Sophia Gardens. The England fast bowler, who missed most of last season after knee surgery in America, has not played since 3 June because of an inflamed knee.
Damien Wright is also set to return after injury, and Tom Maynard is available after ending his exams.
Robert Croft and Michael O'Shea are also fit, but Jimmy Maher is still out.
Mike Powell is also unavailable after having surgery this week to remove part of a bone in his shoulder which caused a blood clot in his arm.
Adam Harrison and David Harrison complete Glamorgan's lengthy injury list.

Friday night's game will be Glamorgan's first of the season at Sophia Gardens.
The Dragons have spent the majority of the season on the road as the Cardiff venue undergoes extensive redevelopment to prepare to host an Ashes Test in 2009.
The on-going work means Friday's match will be played in front of a reduced capacity of just 3,800, but coach Adrian Shaw says he is still expecting a carnival atmosphere.
"We've done a lot of travelling over the last couple of months," said Shaw.
"We've played a lot of away games and our home games have been spread around Wales so it's nice to get back to base.
"There should be a full house to watch us and hopefully we'll be able to get a win for the supporters."
Warwickshire, Somerset, Northamptonshire and Worcestershire are the other teams in Glamorgan's group.
The top two qualify for the quarter-finals, with the two best third-placed teams from the three groups also going through.
