Harrison's injury leaves a big hole in Glamorgan's pace attack |
Glamorgan are considering signing an overseas bowler after David Harrison was ruled out for the rest of the season with a back injury. Harrison, 25, will have an operation on his lower back in the next fortnight.
"It's a huge blow to lose David. He's been our best one-day bowler and he's also an exceedingly good new-ball bowler," said coach Adrian Shaw.
"There are various options we can look at for a replacement. We will look at those towards the start of this week."
With Simon Jones still not back to full fitness, Glamorgan are desperately short in the bowling department - a shortage highlighted the three opening defeats to the season.

The Welsh county are believed to have sought the advice of Australian batsman Jimmy Maher, who is joining the club on 20 May, on the possibility of signing one of his young Queensland team-mates.
Such is Glamorgan's current bowling plight, 16-year-old prospect James Harris has been added to their squad for their home LV County Championship match with Nottinghamshire on Wednesday.
He will become the sixth youngest player for Glamorgan in Championship cricket, and the youngest for 34 years, if he plays.
Jones will again be missing, but Shaw revealed the England star should be back in action next week.
"We're looking for Simon to play a week Friday down in Hove and then hopefully he's first four-day game at Bristol," said Shaw.
"The medical people feel he's a little bit short of four-day fitness."
