Matthew Maynard has been granted a testimonial year by Glamorgan. Maynard, 38, made his debut for the Welsh county back in 1985 and has since made over 350 first class and more than 400 one-day appearances.
"It's been a great privilege to serve Glamorgan for the past 20 years and there is still in my view no better county to play for," said Maynard.
Chairman Paul Russell said: "Matthew is fully deserving of this award after such long and loyal service.
"It is fitting that the announcement comes just 24 hours after he hit a club record 53rd first class century for the county, testament not only to his continued high performance but also to his longevity.
"We are sure that the Welsh public will rally round and show their support next year for one of the finest players ever to have represented Glamorgan."
Maynard added: "I have been fortunate to play alongside some great players, none better than the current squad, and also to have represented a club which has some fantastic supporters.
"Hopefully I can play my part over the next year or two in trying to deliver some more success for them."
