Maher in recent Pura Cup action |
Australian pair Jimmy Maher and Michael Kasprowicz will return to Glamorgan as their overseas players for 2004. Kasprowicz had a higly successful season for the club last summer, but Maher struggled to find his best form.
Coach John Derrick said: "Kaspo got 77 wickets for us. Jimmy didn't have the season he would have liked but he got 90-odd for Queensland the other day."
Kasprowicz was recalled to the Australian squad for a triangular one-day series in India last October.
He had been out of the international picture since the team's previous trip to the sub-continent in 2001.
Wicket-keeper/batsman Maher, meanwhile, was a member of the Australia's World Cup squad but has not been picked for the forthcoming VB series against India and Zimbabwe.
