Irani is averaging over 64 in first-class cricket this season |
Essex captain Ronnie Irani has been offered a new three-year deal which will keep him at the club until 2009. "We're looking at it and I think everything will be fine," he told the Evening Standard newspaper.
"They're a brilliant lot of people at this club and I couldn't be happier with the progress we're making.
"I'm 34 now and I feel my best years are ahead. I want to spend them winning trophies with Essex," added Irani, who is in his 13th season at the club.
