 Pakistan bowler Danish Kaneria has match-winning capabilities |
Pakistan's Danish Kaneria has agreed to play for Essex in 2007 after brief spells for the club in 2004 and 2005. The 25-year-old leg-spinner is set to play at Lord's in the first Test against England starting on 13 July.
Essex chief executive David East said: "His availability looks very good for next year judging by the way Pakistan's fixtures seem to be panning out."
"Danish is a world-class cricketer, there is no doubt about it, and he can have success on any wicket."
Kaneria has taken 95 first-class wickets in 18 matches for Essex at an average of 28.18 along with 156 wickets at 31.50 in 36 Test matches.
