Harker is excited by the prospect of staging the second Test with the West Indies
Durham chief executive David Harker has praised pace bowler Graham Onions ahead of the county hosting the second Test between England and West Indies.
Durham's Onions took seven wickets, including a five-wicket first innings haul, on his England debut at Lord's as he helped England win the first Test.
"He had an outstanding performance down at Lords," Harker told BBC Newcastle.
"I'm sure he will get a great north-east welcome when he makes his debut at his home ground."
It will be the second time that the tourists have played a Test match at Durham's home ground.
The upper tier of the new stand at the Riverside is ready and Harker has welcomed it's arrival.
"One of the advantages of temporary seats is you can be pretty flexible but we've now got another 2000 permanent seats which adds significantly to the stadium," he said.
Durham have also arranged special travel for people wanting to go to the Test match.
Harker added: "We've got shuttle buses running in from Durham railway station and we've got 'park and ride' facilities as well as parking on-site."
