Love returns to Riverside
Martin Love will return to Chester-Le-Street
Love hopes Durham can push for promotion
Durham have re-signed Australian batsman Martin Love for the 2002 season.

The Queenslander enjoyed a profitable summer at the Riverside last season, scoring 1,364 first-class runs at an average of 50.51.

Love said: "I am looking forward to returning to Durham and meeting up with my team-mates again.

"I hope we continue our form in the one-day game; I would love to reach a Lord's final.

"However, we must be competitive in the County Championship and push for promotion," said the 26-year-old.

Love joined the Chester-Le-Street outfit on a one-year contract last season as a replacement for overseas signing Simon Katich.
