Derbyshire all-rounder Graham Wagg has signed a new contract keeping him at the club until 2010.

The 25-year-old, who joined Derbyshire in 2006, celebrated his maiden first-class century against Northamptonshire in July.

Head of cricket John Morris told the club website: "Graham has cemented his status as a genuine all-rounder of some quality in the past two seasons.

"He has a key role to play in the future of the club."

Wagg said: "The team have played some of the best cricket since I arrived at the club during the current season, particularly in the Championship, and hopefully we can build on those performances next year."
