Derbyshire's overseas player Chris Rogers has been dropped from Australia's list of 25 centrally contracted players. "I didn't see it coming," Rogers told BBC Radio Derby. "I'll have to accept it and try to get back in." The Australians have opted for just two centrally contracted openers, leaving Rogers as the odd man out. Meanwhile, Rogers has not yet announced which state he is going to sign with after leaving Western Australia. Both Victoria and Queensland have been chasing his signature since the former Shropshire, Northamptonshire and Leicestershire player Rogers revealed that he would be leaving Perth. But Rogers who played one test for Australia in the series against India in January, making 4 and 15, will not be announcing his decision just yet. "I haven't spoken to the people I need to," he said, "I think that's probably going to come out in the next day or two."
