Derbyshire opener Michael di Venuto is set to leave at the end of the season as his contract is not being renewed. The Australian, who has been with Derbshire since 2000 as one of their overseas players, is unhappy he has been kept in the dark.
He told the Derby Evening Telegraph: "I've still not officially been told but I've known for two months there would not be an offer coming."
Di Venuto is Derbyshire's leading run-scorer this season.
But with counties only allowing one overseas player from the start of the 2008 season, the club are set to go for younger home-grown talent.
The 32-year-old confirmed he has had interest from other counties but has not yet decided whether he wants to play in England next season.
