Batsman Ben France has been released by Derbyshire after failing to gain a regular place in the first team. The 24-year-old joined in 2004 and played 11 times for the county but his contract is not being renewed.
Director of cricket David Houghton said: "It was unlikely that Ben would have the opportunity to play much first team cricket next summer.
"We wish him well with his future career, whether that lies in the professional game or elsewhere."
