Udal made his competitive debut for Berkshire

Berkshire began their Minor Counties Knock-Out Cup with an impressive four wicket win against Suffolk.

Having won the toss, the visitors chose to bat and made 328 from their 50 overs, Tom Huggins hitting 110 and John Sadler 140.

Former England off-spinner Shaun Udal, on his debut, was the pick of the bowling with 2 for 41 from 10 overs.

Michael Roberts led the reply, hitting 135 from 125 balls, as the target was reached with 10 balls to spare.
