Gurney has played in only six of Leicestershire's 12 CB 40 games

Harry Gurney took a career-day best 5-24 as Leicestershire wrapped up their CB 40 campaign with a 14-run win over Hampshire at Grace Road.

Jacques du Toit hit 84 and shared 114 for the first wicket with James Benning (62) as Leicestershire made 241-3.

James Vince then hit 62 and Neil McKenzie 46 to help put Hampshire in a strong position at 202-4.

But Gurney turned the game with four wickets for three runs in nine balls as Hampshire fell short on 227-9.

It was Leicestershire's first home win in the competition since the opening match of the season.

The Foxes finish sixth in Group C, with Hampshire fourth.
