Somerset 8pts, Durham 5pts
Match scorecard

Somerset and Durham played out an inevitable draw at Taunton after days two and three had been washed out.

After a further delay until 1400 BST, Somerset, resuming on 287-4, continued to score freely as Zander de Bruyn and Craig Kieswetter made half-centuries.

Skipper Marcus Trescothick declared on 400-6, picking up the crucial final batting bonus point.

After 15 overs the visitors were 37-0, so the captains Trescothick and Phil Mustard shook hands on the draw.

Somerset remain in second place of Division One but are 16 points adrift of leaders Nottinghamshire, having played one more game.
