Cape Town-born Willoughby joined Somerset from Leicestershire in 2006

Hampshire were bowled out for 284 on a heavily rain affected second day at Taunton as Charl Willoughby ended with figures of 4-80.

Play was halted by the wet weather until just before 1700 BST when Hampshire resumed on 217-5 with just 24 overs available.

The visitors collapsed, with Willoughby taking three of the five wickets.

Somerset ended the day on 17-1 with skipper Marcus Tescothick caught and bowled by James Tomlinson.
