Hussey has now scored over 5,600 one-day runs in his career

David Hussey smashed a half-century as Nottinghamshire kept up the pressure on CB 40 Group C leaders Warwickshire with a 75-run victory over Scotland.

Hussey made 80 off 67 balls and shared a fifth-wicket partnership of 89 with Chris Read (69no) in Notts' 260-5.

Scotland lost wickets regularly in reply and could only manage 185 all out as Dougie Lockhart top scored with 37

Paul Franks (3-22) took three wickets in 15 balls as Notts closed the gap on Warwickshire to three points.

Notts academy captain Scott Elstone, 20, took 1-22 on his one-day debut.

Nottinghamshire still have a game in hand on Warwickshire and the two sides meet at Trent Bridge on Thursday in a day/night encounter.
