FRIENDS PROVIDENT t20, New Road Lancashire 198-6 (20 ovs) beat Worcestershire 191-7 (20 ovs) by seven runs Match scorecard
Croft scored 367 runs in the 16 FP t20 group games
Steven Croft's career-best Twenty20 score helped Lancashire to a seven-run win over Worcestershire at New Road.
Croft blasted 88 off 52 balls including 10 fours and four sixes as Lancashire, who will now travel to Essex in the FP t20 quarter-finals, amassed 198-6.
Worcestershire, who finish bottom of the North Group, fell short on 191-7 despite Moeen Ali's 72 off 39 balls and Daryl Mitchell's 39 off 26.
Sajid Mahmood and Gary Keedy both took two wickets for the visitors.
The hosts looked they were in with a chance with 23 needed from the last two overs.
But Mahmood took two wickets in five balls, including James Cameron for 26, to rule out any hopes of Worcestershire avoiding the wooden spoon in the North Group.
Earlier, Lancashire amassed their highest FP t20 total this season, as Croft and Tom Smith put on 81 in six overs.
In the process, Smith went past 500 runs in the competition, before being dismissed for 40 from 25 balls.
