Jaques hit his best score of the competition

Phil Jaques marked his last appearance for Worcestershire by lifting them off the foot of the FP t20 North Group with a six-wicket win over Leicestershire.

The left-hander hit an unbeaten 78 from 48 balls and, alongside Vikram Solanki (51no), the home side passed the visitors with an over to spare.

Paul Nixon (44) helped the Foxes set a challenging total of 171-4.

But, despite Sanath Jayasuriya and Moeen Ali falling early, the hosts' win rarely looked in doubt.
