Garry Park has now scored 218 runs in the FP t20 this season

Garry Park's second Twenty 20 half-century of the season helped Derbyshire to a five-wicket win over Lancashire.

In a low-scoring game the visitors were restricted to 132-7, Gareth Cross top-scoring with 65 not out from 51 balls, including two sixes and six fours.

South African Tim Groenewald took 3-18 and compatriot Charl Langeveldt 2-32.

Derbyshire were put on their way to victory by Park's 50 off 44 balls, while Robin Peterson added 28, as the home side won with 11 balls to spare.

The Falcons had slipped to 12-2 in the third over, but Park's half-century helped them to a fifth win in the North Group and third place in the table on 11 points.

The home side had some nervous moments as Park sliced a drive to backward point and Peterson was needlessly run out for 29.

But John Sadler ended the Lightning's hopes of a late comeback by lifting Stephen Parry Parry for six over midwicket, before Jon Clare cut Greg Chapple for the winning boundary.

Earlier, Lancashire were in a mess on 59-6, but Cross hit his highest T20 score for nearly three years to give the score some respectability.
