Chad Keegan's Twenty20 best bowling figures maintained Sussex's strong position at the top of the South Group with a 39-run victory over Surrey.

Keegan took 3-11 in 17 balls, as Surrey collapsed from 57-1 to 119 all out, Chris Nash and Will Beer chipping in with two wickets each.

Earlier, New Zealander Brendon McCullum (34) and Nash (32) set the platform for the visitors' total of 158-7.

Chris Schofield (2-21) was the pick of the home side's bowlers.

Sussex had lost England's Matt Prior cheaply, before Murray Goodwin (28), Dwayne Smith (23) and Andrew Hodd (23) gave the innings some momentum.

Nash's unbeaten 32 from 25 balls saw them post a respectable target.

Skipper Rory Hamilton-Brown (24) got Surrey's reply off to a flying start by smashing consecutive sixes off Nash in the opening over.

He then put on 38 in four overs with Steven Davies (24), but their dismissals began Surrey's slump.

Nash picked up the wickets of Gareth Batty and Younis Khan in the 16th over, while Keegan mopped up the tail by dismissing Andre Nel, Chris Schofield and Tim Linley.
