No play was possible at Edgbaston as the weather spared Warwickshire from defeat on the final day against Durham.

Having been bowled out on Monday for 100, after following on, skipper Ian Westwood's unbeaten 86 ensured that the Bears took the game into a fourth day.

And that was enough to help save the Bears from a fifth defeat.

But the six points they took from the draw were enough to lift them off the foot of the table, relegating Hampshire into last position.
