CLYDESDALE BANK 40, Arundel: Unicorns 327-4 beat Sussex 325-4 by six wickets Match scorecard

Unicorns hit the highest score by any side batting second in 40-over cricket history to pull off a shock six-wicket win over Sussex in the CB40. The county side piled on the runs at seven an over, Murray Goodwin (92), Chris Nash (51) and Joe Gatting (55 no) helping Sussex to a huge 325-4. But former Somerset all-rounder Wes Durston smashed five sixes in hitting 117 off just 68 balls. Josh Knappett hit 90, and captain Keith Parsons (41 no) completed the win. Unicorns, a side made up of former county players and youngsters looking for professional deals, have now won two of their five CB40 games to sit fourth in Group A. This win is perhaps more remarkable than last Sunday's defeat of Glamorgan, as Sussex included captain Mike Yardy and Luke Wright, fresh from their ICC World Twenty20 success with England. But between them, they went for 118 runs in 14.3 overs as the Sussex attack was decimated by the part-timers.
