CLYDESDALE BANK 40, Riverside:

Leicestershire opening batsman Jacques Du Toit smashed 64 off just 37 balls to set his team on their way to a rapid seven-wicket victory over Durham.

The Foxes batsmen needed just 26 overs to overhaul Durham's total of 189-9.

Pace bowlers Sam Cliff (3-27) and Nadeem Malik (2-36) did the damage as no Durham batsmen reached 50.

Du Toit and opening partner Andrew McDonald (46) then brought up the 100 in only 12 overs before Paul Nixon (33 no) guided the visitors home on 190-3.

Du Toit looked like winning the game himself as he hammered Neil Killeen and Mitch Claydon to all corners, but his assault ended when he was caught by Ben Harmison off Liam Plunkett.

It was only Leicestershire's second win in Group C but, although well adrift of leaders Warwickshire, it keeps alive their outside chances of making the semis by taking the best runner's up-spot.
