Sussex were crowned as the last ever Pro40 champions in September |
The draw has been made for the new ECB 40 League, with the 21 teams being placed into three seven-team groups. The 18 first-class counties have been joined in the 40-overs-a-side competition by Scotland, Netherlands and an ECB Recreational XI. The Recreational XI will be chosen from players without full county contracts. Teams will play each other home and away in the first round, with the group winners and best second-placed team advancing to the semi-finals. The final of the tournament, which has replaced the Pro40 League, will take place at Lord's on Saturday, 18 September 2010. Members of the public have been invited to suggest a name for the ECB Recreational XI.
