Henderson's 6-88 is his second best first-class haul

Leicestershire's Claude Henderson took 6-88 on day two to check Glamorgan's progress and leave the match at Colwyn Bay hanging in the balance.

After the hosts began the day on 45-0, openers Will Bragg (80) and Gareth Rees (44) moved their stand on to 101.

But Henderson removed both men and then ran through the Glamorgan middle order.

Michael Powell (40), Jamie Dalrymple (40) and Tom Maynard (38) all contributed to help the visitors close on 320-8, a lead of eight runs.

Henderson had taken just four first-class wickets prior to this game. And he may have improved on his second-best ever haul if wicketkeeper Tom New had not missed regulation stumpings to hand let-offs to Powell and Mark Wallace.

After Bragg and Rees completed their second century stand in as many matches, Rees was caught by Jacques du Toit at mid-off to hand Henderson his first victim.

Rees and Powell then added 56 for the second wicket and Powell and Dalrymple 29 for the third, to leave the home side in a strong position at 252-3 in reply to Leicestershire's 313 all out.

But when Dalrymple was bowled by Harry Gurney, it sparked a collapse which saw Glamorgan lose five wickets for 44 runs, with Henderson the destroyer-in-chief, to leave the game on a knife-edge.
