Nick Compton, Dawid Malan and Owais Shah all struck half-centuries as Middlesex beat Surrey by nine wickets in Pro40 Division Two at Guildford. Batting first, the home side racked up 213-7, thanks mainly to Michael Brown (57), Chris Schofield (48 not out) and Gary Wilson (42). In reply, openers Compton (87 not out) and Malan (60) then shared 118. When Malan was run out, Shah (57 not out) joined Compton to guide Middlesex home with more than four overs left.
