Ramprakash made 136 in a six-hour spell in the middle

Mark Ramprakash hit 136 for Surrey as they closed the gap on Middlesex on day three at Lord's.

It was a patient innings from the former England batsman, lasting more than six hours, as Surrey ground their way to 392 all out in response to 385.

Middlesex bowler Murali Kartik enjoyed the most success in curbing the home side, with figures of 5-65.

However Middlesex responded with a confident start in the heat, ending the day on 38-0.
