Lancashire's players celebrate a wicket in their successful quarter-final |
Lancashire have a home semi against Hampshire after knocking holders Essex out of the Friends Provident Trophy. The other semi-final will see Sussex host either Gloucestershire or Nottinghamshire, whose delayed quarter-final is at Bristol on 16 June. Both semis will be played on Sunday, 5 July, with the following day reserved in case of inclement weather. Sussex beat Somerset on Saturday in a thriller at Taunton while Hampshire were too strong for Middlesex. Gloucestershire are hosting England's one-day international against West Indies at Bristol this weekend, so were forced to delay their quarter-final.
