FRIENDS PROVIDENT TROPHY Gloucestershire 269 beat Yorkshire 241-8 by 28 runs
Jacques Rudolph hit 118 but could not prevent Yorkshire slipping to a 28-run Friends Provident Trophy defeat by Gloucestershire at Headingley. Rudolph was eventually out in the final over of the match but did not receive enough support as his side made 241-8 in reply to Gloucestershire's 269. It proved another bad day for Michael Vaughan, who was out for just five. Earlier, Craig Spearman (92) and Kadeer Ali (63) were the cornerstones of the visitors' winning total. In the battle of Group C's two unbeaten sides, Gloucestershire are now clear at the top after their third straight win.
Gloucestershire skipper Alex Gidman told BBC Radio Bristol: "It was a solid performance throughout and I'm delighted for the lads. "It's been a great road trip for us , great to get our first four-day win under our belts and it's something to be very proud of."
