PRO40 DIVISION ONE, Trent Bridge Durham 175-9 (33.3 overs) bt Notts 146-9 (25 overs) by six runs (D/L)Durham held their nerve in the field to win a rain-interrupted Pro40 fixture. Shivnarine Chanderpaul struck 77 from 85 balls but Durham lost five wickets for 15 runs in 28 balls as they collapsed to post 178-9. Notts were set 153 to win from 23 overs under the Duckworth-Lewis system and were on course until Mark Wagh retired hurt on 52 with a shoulder injury. The home team needed 19 runs off the last 16 balls but lost six wickets for 12 runs to slump to defeat. England bowler Steve Harmison bowled superbly, claiming 2-27 as Durham climbed off the bottom of the Division One table. Harmison conceded 11 off his first over but he eventually exerted a measure of control and built pressure that resulted in Will Jefferson holing out off Gareth Breese. South African Ashwell Prince had just one to his name when he was caught in the covers off a leading edge on his debut for the county while Wagh seemed to pull a muscle in his arm in hitting consecutive sixes off Breese. And Wagh's departure from the action was swiftly followed by his team's collapse.
