PRO40 DIVISION ONE, Taunton: Somerset 241-7 (39.5 overs) beat Nottinghamshire 240-7 (40 overs) by three wickets
Somerset ended Nottinghamshire's 100% Pro40 winning record with a penultimate ball three-wicket victory at Taunton. Somerset reached their 241-run target courtesy of Craig Kieswetter (57) and Zander de Bruyn (44), with Omari Banks scoring the winning runs. Off-spinner Graeme Swann kept Notts in the hunt with 4-35 from eight overs. Adam Voges hit 68 and Paul Franks smashed an unbeaten 34 that included 28 off the final over from Arul Suppiah as Notts posted 240-7. The Pro40 champions made a good start in their quest to overhaul Notts' total, with Marcus Trescothick (29) and Kieswetter putting on 73 runs for the second wicket. The former England opener became the first of Swann's four victims, but James Hildreth continued the onslaught with 38 from 22 balls. De Bruyn's dismissal at 177-5 saw Somerset's innings falter, but Wes Durston (36) kept them in touch, along with Suppiah (18), before Banks supplied the winning runs.
