NatWest Pro 40 D1, Trent Bridge: Nottinghamshire 231-9 beat Hampshire 200-9 by 31 runs
Nottinghamshire made it two Pro40 wins out of two as 85 from Adam Voges propelled the Outlaws to a 31-run victory over Hampshire Hawks. He hit two sixes and seven fours in his run-a-ball innings, with Graeme Swann (31) and Bilal Shafayat (45) also contributing to their 231-9. England one-day man Swann then picked up 3-27 as Hampshire finished on 200-9. Michael Lumb top-scored with 63 from 66 balls and Dimitri Mascarenhas hit four sixes in an entertaining 51 not out. Notts enjoyed a good start after winning the toss as Swann hit two sixes and three fours in a cameo knock of 31 from 21 balls. Despite a late clatter of wickets Voges ensured Nottinghamshire reached a competitive total and when Hampshire replied they lost early wickets to slip behind the required rate. Once Lumb was adjudged leg before trying to work Patel's left-arm spin to leg the game was effectively over and although Liam Dawson (30) and Mascarenhas produced some big hits late on, it was too little too late.
