Ian Bell clubbed 42 off 35 balls but it was in vain as Warwickshire's Twenty20 Cup clash against Glamorgan at Cardiff was ruined by the rain.

After being put in to bat Warwickshire made 140-7 in their 19 overs, but rain prevented Glamorgan from replying.

Play was abandoned at 2205 BST, with both sides taking a point each.

Bell and Neil Carter had produced a useful opening stand of 54 in six overs but spinner Dean Cosker claimed three quick wickets before rain intervened.
