Andrew Flintoff's confidence with the bat took another blow when he bagged a second duck in Lancashire's Championship game against Durham. But his bowling continues to reap its rewards with his spell of 3-7 in six overs backing up his four wickets on Wednesday's opening day Old Trafford. Lancashire looked to be heading for a three-day win over Durham on the back of opener Paul Horton's superb 108. At stumps, Durham were 295 behind with just seven wickets remaining. Embarrassingly for Flintoff, he was bowled by the very occasional medium pace of Garry Park, the former wicket-keeper, who had just captured the scalp of Stuart Law for his maiden first-class wicket. The big all-rounder was attempting to drive Park but missed and the ball crept through the gap between bat and pad to rattle the stumps. Horton reached three figures from 174 balls, with 16 fours and one six included in a valuable knock. He was helped along by opener Mark Chilton's 37 and Mohammad Yousuf's 40. Chilton and Mal Loye both fell to the off-spin of Paul Wiseman (4-87) before Horton and Yousuf put on 74 for the third wicket as the lead steadily grew. Kyle Hogg's 33 then deepened Durham's plight further. Flintoff put Lancashire in an even stronger position late in the day when removing Mark Stoneman, Kyle Coetzer and England colleague Paul Collingwood, all caught behind by wicket-keeper Luke Sutton.
