County Championship D1, Canterbury, day two (close): Kent 212 & 99-3 v Durham 321Durham stayed in contention for the County Championship title by claiming three second-innings wickets as bad light stopped play with Kent 99-3.
Off-spinner Paul Wiseman took 3-6 in 13 balls after Robert Key and Joe Denly put on 67 for the first Kent wicket.
Durham, who still lead by 10 runs, will seek to seal victory on day three.
The visitors, resuming on 124-4, were indebted to Dale Benkenstein and Ottis Gibson's sixth-wicket stand of 86 as they made 321 in their first innings.
Benkenstein struck 13 boundaries and a six as he moved his score along from 22 overnight to 117 before he edged Martin Saggers to first slip.
But by then Durham were well ahead after Gibson hit five fours and a six in his 40 and although Liam Plunkett was trapped in front by Saggers, Wiseman kept Berkenstein company with a well-crafted knock before he too was leg before to the former England paceman.
Kent started their second innings solidly with Denly and Key playing freely against the pace bowlers.
But Wiseman, who changed ends in the first over after tea, quickly spun the game back in the visitor's favour.
Key, on 33, was the first to go, caught by wicketkeeper Phil Mustard when his attempted sweep shot cannoned off his pad and onto his gloves.
Denly followed leg before to a ball that kept low one run later and when Matthew Walker cut Wiseman to Michael di Venuto at slip, Kent were 80-3.
Martin van Jaarsveld and Neil Dexter saw the home side to the close without further loss when bad light intervened.
