NatWest Pro40 D1, Old Trafford: Lancashire 199-4 bt Hampshire 122-7 by 32 runs (D/L method)
Lancashire won a rain-affected game at Old Trafford to seal third place in Pro40 Division One and end Hampshire's hopes of finishing second.
The hosts made 199-4, mainly thanks to an unbroken stand of 104 between Mark Chilton (77) and Steven Croft (46).
Hampshire's Michael Lumb and Chris Benham raced to 85-0 in the 11th over.
But Sajid Mahmood (3-33) took three wickets in consecutive overs to spark a collapse, as Hampshire slumped to 122-7 before rain curtailed play early.
Spinner Gary Keedy also took 2-12 in an economical five-over spell for the Red Rose county, for whom reserve keeper Gareth Cross, playing as a batsman, had opening the innings by scoring 30 off 31 balls.
Hampshire, without skipper Shane Warne, were left to rue a 12-over spell in which they lost seven wickets for 31 runs.
