Stephen Fleming plundered a majestic unbeaten double century as Notts racked up 500-6 on day against Derbyshire.

The Kiwi took only 205 balls to reach 200, firing three successive fours and sharing 186 in only 36 overs with next year's captain Chris Read, who made 90.

Read faced 113 balls but missed out on a century when he hooked to long-leg.

Graeme Swann brought up the 500 with a six off Greg Smith while Fleming, whose fourth fifty took just 24 balls, was on 217 with two sixes and 36 fours.
