Pro40 Divison One, Trent Bridge: Nottinghamshire 270-6 (40 overs) bt Gloucestershire 154 (32.3 overs) by 116 runsGraeme Swann starred with bat and ball as Nottinghamshire claimed a 116-run Pro40 victory over Gloucestershire.
Swann blasted 59 off 33 balls and put on 111 inside 12 overs with fellow opener Will Jefferson (50) before the loss of three wickets slowed Notts.
Despite Mark Wagh's 65, it needed a quickfire unbeaten 46 from Chris Read to lift them to a formidable 270-6.
Kadeer Ali hit 56 and Chris Taylor 42 in reply but Swann took a career-best 5-17 as the visitors were out for 154.
Off-spinner Swann enhanced his prospects of being picked for England's winter squads with an eye-catching all-round display in front of the TV cameras.
He found the gaps with some powerful strokes to reach 50 in 28 deliveries, while Jefferson was no slouch either and got to 50 off 41.
But once they fell, skipper Stephen Fleming, Samit Patel and Bilal Shafayat all perished in tame fashion to leave Notts 193-5.
Wagh kept the scoreboard ticking along until he retired hurt before Read biffed away to provide the flourish.
Swann continued to dominate by finding plenty of turn, although he was fortunate when he bowled Alex Gidman off an inside edge.
There was also a touch of luck as he trapped Taylor lbw, but there was no denying he had the force with him as Steve Adsead was well caught at deep mid-wicket, Carl Greenidge was yorked and Steve Kirby was plumb in front.
