Championship D1, Riverside, day two (close):
Durham 378-6 v Warwickshire 239
Kyle Coetzer recorded his maiden Championship century as Durham built a lead of 139 over Warwickshire at 378-6.
The 23-year-old Scot struck 21 fours and shared 182 in 61 overs with fellow academy graduate Ben Harmison who made a Championship best 84 not out.
Coetzer was reprieved on 58 when Paul Harris spilled the ball when about to toss it up in celebration of a catch.
Left-hander Harmison, younger brother of Steve, posted his second successive fifty and pulled Alex Loudon for six.
Dale Benkenstein made 45 of the 79 Durham added to their overnight 100-3, before he pulled Darren Maddy's first ball of the day straight to mid-wicket.
Coetzer had some more anxious moments, a leading edge off Heath Streak - who was hampered by back trouble - falling into space at mid-on and an edge sailing between first and second slips.
On 98 he pulled to mid-wicket where Ian Westwood got a hand on the ball but could not hang on, before the Aberdeen-born right-hander reached three figures from 242 balls by turning a short ball from Naqaash Tahir to the boundary.
