Points: Kent 7, Hampshire 9
Kent had to settle for a draw with Hampshire on the last day at Canterbury as the visitors finished on 275-5 after being set an improbable target of 461.
Yasir Arafat claimed four Hampshire wickets but a determined batting performance saw the visitors hold on.
Hampshire's top four all got a start but with no-one reaching 50 it was left to Sean Ervine (56no) and Dimitri Mascarenhas (33no) to see out the day.
Kent's chance of a win evaporated when Arafat had Mascaranhas dropped on 23.
With Hampshire batting for a draw it was decided to end the match with five overs remaining.
